    Antique Yemenite Jewish 'Libbeh' Bib Necklace

    Sana’a, Yemen
    Year:
    1900-1930
    Gorgeous chain-bib necklace made by the Bowsani family, a Jewish family of silversmiths in pre-1930's Yemen. The necklace is pretty old so the original string that held it in place was worn out. Used a stronger nylon thread to keep pieces temporarily together. Will require some TLC with a new thread. But that's pretty much all you would need to do is just restring.
