Massive Vtg Yemeni Yemenite Coral Silver Filigree Bib Necklace Weighs 221 Grms

Magnificent Vintage yemeni / Yemenite / Yemen ( probably from Mahwit ) ~ silver ~ coral ~ bib necklace featuring 3 large rectangular applied work panels with small carnelian cabs in between ~ All these panels are connected with rows of beautiful silver and coral beads in between ~ There are there amulets attached at the bottom of each rectangular panels ~ Definitely made by a highly skilled Yemeni Jewish silversmiths .
At early times this necklace was usually worn in tritonal Yemenite weddings when the bride use to decorate herself with very big jewelry as a sign of wealth .
Unsigned silver (atleast 800 silver )
Date : early mid 20th century .

Necklace is 19 inches in length x 5 1/2 inches in max drop length in center .
Weighs 221 grams on my weighing scale.
Condition :
Overall necklace is in good vintage condition ~ heavy age patina to silver ~ Did not see any missing stone ~ Clasp is a replacement and is not made of silver ~ Most likely it was gold gilded , most of the gilding is worn off underneath silver can be seen ~ Can see few dents /dings mostly on backside .
Please Note ~ As vintage items are previously loved /used please do expect some minor wear like surface wear /dents /dings and metal discoloration .
