    Description

Antique Yemenite Jewish Multi Silver Filigree & Black Coral Beaded Necklace
    Size:
    26.5 inches long (13.25 inches)
This necklace was made using an original rare Yemenite Jewish Bowsani silver rosette pattern globe at the focal of the necklace. The globe pendant is from the early 1900's and has a stamp by the maker. On both ends of the Bowsani globe pendant, we placed 2 antique Yemenite silver beads that have sterling silver flat spacers on both their ends.
Incorporated into the necklace are 4 vintage limestone coral beads. These beads are from the 70's and have a vibrant hue that compliments the silver antique tone of the beads really well. Two of the limestone coral beads (the tube shaped ones) have silver filigree Yemenite bead caps at both ends of the pair of beads.
Additionally, there are 4 ancient Yemeni black coral beads. These beads are untreated and not dyed. They were originally part of a very old late 19th century worry bead strand. Each black coral bead has 2 sterling silver spacers on both ends.
The necklace, most importantly, has a variety of silver filigree Yemenite beads that are differentiated by their style of filigree work and size. They captivate our eyes with their beautiful variance and they unite the glory of the necklace altogether. Lastly, corner-less beads entertain the end of both strands of the necklace, where it meets with the beginning of what is a very old, antique Yemenite ribbon-chain extenders.
The necklace is held together by a nylon-covered stainless steel flexible wire to ensure sturdiness and the wire's ability to hold the precious pieces together in the long run with no issue.
