Up for your perusal is this fabulous find. This is a vintage statement necklace. It's massive and impressive. Quite large. I am not sure if it was meant as a ceremonial piece or a piece of decorative art. It would look absolutely fabulous framed and displayed as an art piece. Made entirely of silver tone mixed metals in a dull pewter tone. It consists of double bib collar with dangles. There are cabochon stones which appear to be glass. I believe this piece is Middle Eastern in origin and possibly Turkish or Persian. Some of the characters look Islamic. I was told it was acquired by a world traveler sometime in the 1960s when abroad in Afghanistan. Very unusual. I haven't seen another like it. Acquired by a collector over 50 years ago.

Entire necklace is fixed. It has an opening at the top.

Condition:
Gorgeous, very unique vintage item. Very light wear. I did notice one of the dangling flat pieces at the bottom collar is missing. One of the turquoise colored stones is also missing. No major damage or issues that I can find. Impressive when worn.
